It’s not hard to find the Astor House. We are located in the city of Green Bay about eight blocks south of the downtown area. We are on Hwy 57 and one-half block south of Hwy 54, which is also known as Mason Street.
CHICAGO OR MILWAUKEE
Take Interstate Hwy I-94 through Milwaukee to I-43 North. Take I-43 to Green Bay to the Hwy 172 exit. (You can also take Hwy 41 North to Hwy 172.) Take Hwy 172 to the Webster Ave./Riverside Drive-Hwy 57 exit. Take Riverside Drive, which is also Hwy 57, heading north. Riverside Drive will become Monroe Avenue after about four miles. Stay on Monroe Ave and go through the traffic light at Porlier Street. The Astor House is about three blocks beyond Porlier on the right hand side of the street. The last intersection before you reach us is Cass Street. Our driveway is on the right just beyond the red brick house at the corner of Monroe and Cass. Our address is 637 S. Monroe Avenue. Caution: Go slow. Our driveway comes up fast!
MADISON
Take Hwy 151 N/E to exit 148 for Hwy 26 N. Drive on through Rosendale (go slow!) to Hwy 41 North. Take Hwy 41 to Green Bay. Take exit 165 onto Hwy 172 East toward Green Bay. Exit onto WI-57 N/Riverside Dr. and follow the directions above.
RHINELANDER, MERRILL, WAUSAU, STEVENS POINT AREA
Take Hwy 51/I-39 South to Hwy 29 East into Green Bay. Hwy 29 will bring you to Shawano Ave. Take Shawano Ave. East. It will become Walnut St. After you cross the bridge, go five blocks to Monroe Ave., and turn right. Take Monroe Ave. south about seven blocks and look for us on the left after you go under the overpass that is Hwy 54 (Mason St). There is a stucco building on your right. The Astor House is on your left.
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL or EAU CLAIRE, MENOMONIE AREA
From the Minneapolis/St. Paul, or Eau Claire, Menomonie area, Hwy 29 East to Hwy 51/I-39 South to Hwy 29 East into Green Bay. Hwy 29 will bring you into Shawano Ave. Take Shawano Ave. East. It will become Walnut St. Cross the bridge and go five blocks and turn right on to Monroe Ave. Take Monroe Ave. south six blocks and look for us on the left after you go under the overpass that is Hwy 54 or Mason St. There is a stucco building on your right.
