Going Green at the Green Bay Farmer’s Market
Nothing showcases the talents and resourcefulness of a community more than a local farmer’s market, and the Green Bay Farmer’s Market is no exception. Kicking off in late May and running all the way through August, every Saturday is an opportunity to experience the world-renowned hospitality that Green Bay has to offer. The Green Bay Farmer’s Market began in 1917 and has relocated throughout the city four times before settling into it’s current location on Washington Street.
Friendly Faces at the Farmer’s Market
The market, just across from Riverside Place, is home to over 150 local vendors from all over Green Bay and beyond, so you are bound to find just about anything you’re looking for and perhaps a few things you didn’t know you needed! Each booth provides a unique opportunity to meet Green Bay locals, some of which have been selling their wares at the market for generations. When you book your stay at Astor House Bed & Breakfast, the Farmer’s Market is just 10 blocks away making this welcoming window into the Green Bay community all the more convenient. Covering more than two city blocks, the booths provide a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, flowers, prepared food, clothes, jewelry and more to choose from.
