Green Bay’s Winter Events

With several great theater’s and event spaces to enjoy, there’s no shortage of fun winter events in Green Bay.  Even for those of you who plan last minute, there’s still plenty of fun to take advantage of.  There are even still tickets for New Years Eve on Broadway, which promises to be a spectacular night of fun and celebration, as we ring in 2015 and another great year in Downtown Green Bay.  If you miss New Years in Green Bay, there are still plenty of fun winter events to take part in.  The ARTgarage, a unique local artists space in downtown Green Bay, has several spectacular upcoming exhibits, including January’s Steampunk Extravaganza, and the First Day of Pop art exhibit.  The Soup with Substance Series at Green Bay Botanical Gardens is also a fun way to get the best of Green Bay.  Spend a day outdoors hiking, snowshoeing, or cross country skiing, then come indoors for some homemade soup, bread, and a fantastic garden-related presentation.  The first event in January features “The Incredible Edible Landscape”.

Green Bay Winter eventsFor more Green Bay fun, head to the 5th annual New Leaf Winter Market, which started in December, and runs on Wednesdays throughout the months of January and February. This wonderful winter tradition features over 85 vendors including local meats, cheeses, bakery, vegetables, canned items, coffee, and handcrafted art pieces.  After you’ve sampled some delicious bites of Green Bay, head to the Meyer Theater for one of their great performances this winter.  You can even catch some great sporting events this time of year in Green Bay.  The Resch Center is home to the Green Bay Gambler’s Hockey Team and the Green Bay Phoenix Basketball team.  You’ll also find world-class shows and productions here, including Brad Paisley’s concert in January, or the internationally renowned Trans Siberian Orchestra.  If you’d rather plan farther in advance, then take a peek at the Alan Jackson concert scheduled for March, or the Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney concert in June.  There are also many other fun ongoing winter events at local venues, such as Captains Walk Winery, Cup O’ Joy, and the Neville Public Museum.  Green Bay is a fun place to be any time of year, but the winter events on the calendar already are making 2015 look like a wonderful time to book your stay at our Green Bay Bed and Breakfast.
